This animated film retells the Exodus story, following Moses from childhood as Egyptian royalty to adulthood as the leader of the Israelites as they escape from Egyptian slavery.
The Prince of Egypt (1998) won one Academy Award for Best Original Song ("When You Believe" by Stephen Schwartz) and was nominated for Best Original Musical or Comedy Score. It also won an inaugural Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Animated Feature and received two Golden Globe nominations.
Voice actors included Val Kilmer, Ralph Fiennes, Sandra Bullock and Steve Martin. It is rated PG.
No admission fee.

Shabbat Social: The History of the Jewish Community in Kinston, NC (part 1)
UNC-G PhD Candidate Ashley Low will speak on her research on Kinston’s Jewish Community and Temple Israel. Ashley has been combing through archival resources from all over NC and online and has discovered information that will surprise you. Her ground-breaking research will provide a much deeper understanding about our Jewish community than previously known.
Come with questions and your own stories! This is the first of two sessions by Ashley, with the second one in November. Both of these sessions will have virtual access for those unable to attend in person.
